I love the fall. I love sweaters, I love coats, I love rain, I love hot drinks, and I love pumpkin scones and pies. Because it’s now September and it’s actually starting to get chilly here in Toronto, I thought it would be a good time to talk about fall wardrobes.
This post is all about the pieces that I’d really love to get to update my wardrobe for the fall. I actually need to replace some basics, so I’ve included some classic items, and then I have a few fun pieces sprinkled in because, as long as I’m wishing, why not?
I think this trench coat from J. Crew is fantastic. It’s so classic and classy. The color is a nice, rich hue and it has a good length (a lot of trenches right now are quite short, and I’m not into it).
I couldn’t resist these earrings from BaubleBar. I think they are really fun and I love the color.
I’ve been pining after these Vigoss jeans for a while now. They are lighter and have more fading than I normally go for, but I think they are very good looking and would offer a little variety. I also like that they are a lower rise, because I’m still convinced that mid and high rise jeans look pretty unfortunate on me.
This tote from Calvin Klein is something I’ve wanted for a long time too. It is classic without being boring (thanks to the gold hardware), goes with just about everything, is real leather, and it’s large enough to work as a diaper bag.
I LOVE these Ray-Bans. The style is just so cool and sleek. Because they are black and gold, they will go with almost anything.
These ankle boots from Kork-Ease are really cute and, to be honest, I’m not even really an ankle boot sort of person. The rich tan color, the cute straps, and the fact that they are a brand that is nearly synonymous with “comfort” won me over. My only complaint is how low the cut-out on the side goes. Do you suppose you could wear those little liner socks with them?
I fell in love with Kitsch’s bun pins the first time I came across them. Adding an accessory like this will add elegance and flare to an outfit while also making you look more put together. They have many styles, including a very trendy white marble one, but I like the star design on the one pictured here. The color gives it subtlety while the design of the stars lend it some coolness.
What items do you want to pick up for the fall?
