Buffalo plaid is so in right now it’s insane. It’s a sort of funny trend because you will see it on stylish women and masculine men alike. In fact, I saw a burly middle aged man wearing a buffalo check jacket when I did this shoot. However, I think this look turned out quite chic and elegant! It would be a great option for Thanksgiving.
The scarf is, as Rachel Zoe would say, amaze. It’s oversized in both print and size, which makes it unique and more interesting, I think, and certainly more of a statement piece. The fact that it’s huge means there are lots of ways to wear it too.
These pants are from Gap. I’ve had them for years and they’ve held up quite well. Having a pair of casual black pants will serve you well because they are very versatile and look a bit dressier than jeans but are probably more comfortable. They have zipper pockets in the front, which makes them feel a bit edgier and trendier. They are skinny through the knee, so they tuck into knee-high boots well. If I could change anything about them, it would be to make them skinnier through the ankle. I think that would make them a lot more versatile.
The belt is Gap and is no longer available, but I found a similar and really good looking option from L.L. Bean.
My sunglasses are Coach and are very old, but I found a similar style from Kate Spade that are….amaze.
Next, I’m wearing my UGG Neoma boots. I LOVE these boots. Love them. They are super comfortable despite the heel height and have a really flattering shape. I love them so much I’m seriously contemplating getting them in brown too. I’ve put a pair with a similar silhouette in the carousel because I couldn’t put the UGG boots in (I’d explain, but it’s boring), BUT Amazon definitely has the UGG boots here.
My earrings are Kate Spade and I can’t recommend them enough. They are big enough to be noticed, but not so big that they are a statement, so they are incredibly versatile and useful.
And that’s it, folks! I have to apologize for getting this post up late. Things have been a little crazy around here – I’ve been sick and my sister just had a baby! So exciting! I hope you’re having a great week and I’d love to hear from you in the comments.
