I don’t usually like minimalist fashion. It often looks lifeless and unattractive to me, but I actually really like this outfit. I think it works because the cardigan is blush, so it adds some color, life, and femininity to the look. The headband (see the carousel for a similar option) adds another feminine detail that really helps to make the outfit more fun.
The sweater is a lovely merino wool blend cardigan I picked up from Gap. You can see it styled another way here. It feels substantial and cozy – perfect for fall weather. I love the shade of pink because it is feminine, but basically acts as a neutral. Because it goes with so many colors, this cardigan is a very versatile piece. It is oversized by design, so I sized down to an extra small to avoid excessive bulk.
The boots I’m wearing here are Ugg’s Neoma. Sadly, they are no longer available, but I found a very good looking pair of Michael Kors boots with a similar silhouette for your viewing pleasure (see the carousel above).
My tee is Gap. Gap’s Modern Tees are great because they are 97% cotton and are quite thick. They don’t pill or fade easily. They do, however, run quite small in my experience. I’m wearing a large here.
These earrings are Kate Spade. I wear these earrings all the time. They are so useful because they are black (so they go with everything), and they can be dressed up or down.
My pants are also from Gap. They are incredibly versatile and can also be dressed up or down. These pants are quite slim through the knee, which makes them look good tucked into boots. They have welt pockets with hidden zippers in the front, which is a nice detail. My only complaints are that they are a bit cropped, so it’s impossible to wear ankle boots with them and I also wish they were skinnier in the ankle. Otherwise, they are really great and look good with heels, flats, and knee-high boots. They are a cotton blend and come in a multitude of colors.
